Moroccan
Affair 2022
May27 - Jun 5, 2022
Let's travel to Morocco to explore the cities of Fes and Marrakech with a two-day stay in a luxury camp in the Sahara Desert.
Fes, the cultural and spiritual capital, is one of the most complete medieval Islamic cities in the world. The great "sand sea" of Merzouga, a beautiful area of fine, apricot-colored sand stretches as far as the eye can see. Here we reach the luxury camp in the desert that offers the highest comfort. Large tents with king-size beds, Moroccan handcrafted furniture, and ensuite bathroom with western toilet, handheld shower, and sink right in your tent. Departing the desert, we’ll travel to the spectacular gorge of Todra, considered one of the most dramatic sights one can come across in all of Morocco. And lastly, explore Marrakech and the delights it has to offer. The tanneries around Bab Debbagh normally work in the morning and still cure leather in a way that has not changed for hundreds of years. There are plenty of other places for you to visit too. And of course, plenty of activities and day trips to maximize your Moroccan experience.

OPTIONAL TOURS
CHAFCHAOUEN DAY TRIP - $75
Meet your guide and start your visit to the city. With its distinctive pale blue and whitewashed buildings and winding alleyways, Chefchaouen is a charming place with strong Andalusian connections. It was here that many Jews and Moors fled during the Spanish Inquisition. Highlights of our day include a short hike to the ruin of the "Spanish" mosque with its fantastic panoramic view; a visit to the Ras el-Ma, where the city's freshwater springs from the mountain; and a stroll through the wonderfully restored kasbah and gardens.

ESSAOUIRA BEACH DAY TRIP - $75
Essaouira is a charming small town on the coast, well-known for its charming appeal and gorgeous landscapes. People travel from all over the world to Essaouira to purchase native Moroccan argan oil at the local women’s cooperative. Continuing the journey, we'll enjoy a fresh lunch from the sea, prepared on the spot. Good for both photo and surfing opportunities, the beach here is an ideal spot for relaxing and sunbathing. It's truly the best place to chill. Also, stop to see Goats in the tree and visit the winery at Ounagha town.
